Internal Account Manager — Construction Supplies

About the role

Our client an expanding organisation who supply products into the civils market is seeking an Internal Account Manager to oversee the sales function through nominated accounts. This is a varied role where you will also oversee the customer service side of the business. Ideally you will need to have worked within a similar industry or have prior sales background within product related supplies.

Responsibilities

• Previous sales experience within a similar sector
• Good knowledge of construction materials
• Order management & providing quotations
• Maintaining successful working relationships
• Excellent telephone manner — great a building rapport with customers
• Account management
• Confident on the phone and comfortable speaking to decision makers at all levels
• Articulate, professional, credible and switched on

Requirements

• Sales experience in a commercial or customer-facing environment in the builders merchants or civil engineering sector
• Excellent literacy and numeracy skills
• Advanced Excel skills
• Ability to express oneself clearly and simply in both written and spoken English
